Join CAST’s Project COOL (COaching On Learning) team to explore a scalable coaching model designed to support the use of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), High-Leverage Practices (HLPs), and Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) in educational settings. This session will introduce the goals of Project COOL, demonstrate how instructional coaching can advance inclusive teaching practices, and highlight new tools and resources to support your work.

This session focuses on an adaptive intervention coaching model, AIM Coaching. AIM Coaching was designed to provide coaches with systematic guidance on how to use teacher skill and will data to support teachers' school-wide implementation of a set of evidence-based comprehension building practices (i.e., PACT Plus) in middle schools. AIM Coaching has been implemented in two federally funded grants and has evidence of promise for improving teacher and student outcomes.

This webinar, part of the SPDG Director’s Webinar series on Coaching, explores Data-Driven Instructional Coaching Model (DDICM), an evidence-based coaching framework designed to support interventionists in implementing effective early reading interventions for K-3 students with or at-risk of reading disabilities.

This session focused on recent developments in measuring two educational innovations: Integrated MTSS (I-MTSS) and systems coaching. As I-MTSS research continues to grow, schools across the country have become more aware of this evolution of MTSS. Dr. Pierce shared implementation bright spots and common challenges schools have faced in implementing I-MTSS with fidelity. She also summarized approaches to measuring systems coaching, highlighting one state’s effort to develop and use a systems coaching fidelity measure.

1. Cynthia Curry – The National Center on Accessible Digital Educational Materials & Instruction (NCADEMI or “n-cademy”): Cynthia Curry, Project Director at NCADEMI, will provide an overview of the center’s plans to support SEAs and LEAs in meeting the new Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title II conformance timelines.

This session delved into coaching as a vital driver for successful implementation, grounded in research and practical insights from the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN). Participants explored how coaching strengthens competency, builds capacity, and sustains implementation efforts by developing coaching systems, aligning service delivery plans, and effectively collecting and using data. Additionally, participants were introduced to a new Coaching System Template tool recently developed by SISEP to support and guide this work.
